This is a team that I shoot video for. As a thank you to the parents that pay me well, I was there to take a few to take a few shots of their kids, get them a nice 12x18 and practice solely with my 300/2.8.

As you will see the sun was in and out of heavy to light-cloud cover all day.

These shots have really nice separation against the backgrounds. 3 and 5 are my favorites due to the timing of the peak action. The second shot is also very nice for the interesting view of the unique goal equipment and the great colors.

Thanks, I included the keeper because I thought her goalie equipment was a bit unique.

Nice interaction on shot 5.... well done. As good as that shot is, shot 4 does nothing for me. Sure the rubber stray is cool, but there isn't much else there. Two and Three are good stock shots, nothing wrong with them at all.

I like the goalie shot Vinny. Horizons are off a bit but images are super clean.

Thank you ... important critique! I need to stop with the player being vertical and focus on the horizon.

The funny part is that (as I said) I shot for the clients that pay me for video'ing. None of these were my 30 favorite shots of their daughters. (* including both goals of the 2-0 win)

I lean right also when shooting Vinny. Just need to twist them a bit in post.
