These are great . Love that first shot.

Also love it when you catch a BG moment like the coach in the last shot adding the body english to help the defender disrupt the pass.

I would love to get on the sidelines just once for my alma mater in Michigan, Michigan State. What a wonderful opportunity for you and some great images! I, too, like #1...the "Sarge" is intense. Great set there!

Thank You.

It was a great experience and I hope I made the most of it. 20+ years of Sports TV experience kept me mostly in the right place at the right time but then there's that thing about having to actually get the shot!

At least you aren't an alumnus of the OTHER school. ;)

GO BUCKS!

There is no "other" school in my book. :p I'm personally glad to see UofM slowly coming back from the dead but this should be a very special season for CMU!

I'm a CMU alum, too. Got my Masters from there years ago. Go Chippewas!

Great shots!

I saw an article in SI a couple of weeks ago comparing LeFevour's stats over Tebow.

Thanks and a Fire Up Chips to you too! There have been Heisman rumblings regarding LeFevour but unfortunately, CMU just can't generate the buzz like the bigger schools can.

Excellent shots. I like #1 and #4 the most. On a side note is it really necessary for teh police to run out with these teams??? I have seen this a lot lately watching college games on TV and I think #1 would be much better and more appealing to the team if the police were not in the shot...

Thanks Very Much.

It's pretty routine here for LEOs to escort the head coaches on and off the field. There was concern about lingering bad blood between the two teams after some rather nasty happenings at Eastern's home field last year.

I appreciate the feedback, thanks! :D

Didn't see that when I shot it but I'm rather proud of having caught him in the frame on that one. I might have to do a custom print job and make a nice "Quin-tich" of the whole sequence.

Nice work. CMU is the first football that I shot at this level too.

It helps that I work for CMU out of the Atlanta GA office....;)

Shooting football at this level is a blast...;)

I like that last one Jay - it's got a lot of nice dynamic motion.

Hiya Jon and thanks muchly...

What's a "GA" office? I guess I didn't realize Central Mich had a presence in Atlanta.

Thanks very much. This was my first time shooting football so I'm pretty pleased with the effort. Definately missed a few along the way though. If/When there's a next time, I hope to do better.

Thanks Gail...

There's a lot of "Body English" involved in coaching football (I Guess)

Shows what I know having been gone from Mt Pleasant for 25 years. I've seen the campus grow but didn't realize the satellite campuses had proliferated so widely.

Great work Jay. Love the first. We often shoot this type of thing but rarely convey it it so well. #3 is great too but would like a tighter crop to remove the guy in the left of the frame. He adds little. Love #4 as well although I'm thinking he may be saluting someone else which adds even more for me. Well done man.

Thanks Scott.

I see your point on #3 and you are (of course) correct on #4 as to who is being saluted... ;)
