First off, I'm from Oz, so I may not undertand everything in your shots, let alone gridiron (is that what it's called?)...

#1 That's great. It's gladiatorial, field of battle, game-face stuff. Who's the guy on the left? Some kind of firey?

#2 Photographically, very tight, very clean. I like it. I don't understand the context (see "First off").

#3 Unless you've edited prior to my viewing it, leave it alone. #60 perfectly displays that instant of "If you aren't in it, you can't win it". It's a pity you didn't get the foot (RHS) in.

#4 Nothing needs be said.

#5 Come to me baby, come to me...

#6 Yesss! (I've often experienced the same thing as the chap in the background. An involuntary muscular responce to what I'm watching. I'm guessing that his DOF is closer to 1.0 as against my 2.8 ).

Edit: Chippewas? what does that mean?

Cheers Chris and Thank You Very Much...

This is Division 1 College (American) Football.

The guys in Maroon and Gold are my Alma Mater, Central Michigan University and the school nickname is the Chippewas or "Chips" as we call them. The Chippewa Indians are a local Native American Indian tribe.

Despite the recent rash of lawsuits and Political Correctness over using Indian names for sports teams, the local Chippewa tribe both supports and endorses the use of the name by CMU.

The guys in Green and White are the Eastern Michigan University Eagles who (coincidentally) used to be called the Hurons which is another Indian tribe who objected the use of their tribal name so EMU changed several years ago.

Yes, we have a Northern Michigan and a Western Michigan as well. They're commonly referred to as Michigan's "Directional Schools."

In the first shot, the Head Coach (in the middle) is being escorted by an Isabella County Sherrif (Smokey the Bear hat) and two Michigan State Police officers. Police commonly escort Head Coaches on and off the field at American Football games.

Glad you liked my efforts and thanks again!

No worries, mate. There are three Cs in C&C, the third (unwritten) one is Constructive. That's the one I live by.

When you have a moment/Edit/weekend to spare, you might check our version http://bigpondvideo.com/nrl/212764 (external link) if you can get the bugger to load (BigPond is supposed to be our premier ISP ).
