I use the healing brush to paint over acne with the texture of a patch of good skin.

Combine this with some healing brush...

You can use hue/saturation to remove the redness and then spot healing brush and cloning to do the rest. These are very small images....

Sorry about the small images, I'm having trouble re-sizing. sometimes I can get a large version on here, but other times it says the image is too large. I will try the healing brush. Thanks for all the tips. and "Benji" I sent you a pm!

Yes, definitely heal brush. Alt+click an area of skin that is clear and close in tone. then I sometimes use Filter>noise>median blur at a low percent to soften the skin on a seperate layer. Then, delete the areas such as the eyes, lips, and other areas requiring high def. The layered images will yield a beutiful skin composition.

I like to clone acne as opposed to healing brush. I feel I get better results consistently this way.

For the redness, you can take the skin to another layer, drop the red a bit in levels.
