I posted my photo packaging years back here.

I've since updated lots of things including my business name. It is now rfp studio instead of red fox photography. I also wanted to convey a more upscale look so I chose to use real satin ribbon instead of curling ribbon.

I did keep my colors of red and purple.

All prints are mounted so you see there a package of 5x7s, 8x10s and the large print is an 11x14.

I wrap in red wrapping paper still from Kmart.

The ribbon is simple satin ribbon from Walmart although I need to be looking for a bulk supplier.

The little tags are hang tags (external link)from 48 hour print (external link)

Portrait care and copyright info are actually on the same card. Just a pearl flat press printed card from WHCC.

Wallet tins are from: http://www.containerandpackaging.com/item.asp?item=M526 (external link)

The stickers on the tins are wallet stickers from ACI (external link).

External packaging is easy.

Just a red gift back from walmart (again I need to look into a bulk supplier) fluffed with purple tissue from the dollar store. I add a hang tag to the outside. This particular order I used Mpix for the prints and ordered a key chain for a gift and to add a personal touch.

Anyway, just sharing for those out in POTN land who look for packaging ideas.

HAHAHAHA...I'm not a member of waflt . I really should be. I've heard great things about the conference but it's just not convenient to go with my youngest still nursing.

And, thanks!

Nice packaging! Do you take a pretty good hit spending this much on materials/time packaging, or do you just work it into the fees?
Those look really nice though. Thanks for sharing, and sharing your sources!

It's worked in.

Honestly though...the tins were abou $1 each. The stickers were $5ish for 20. The ribbon was $2 a spool. Wrapping paper $3 a roll. Bags $1 each. The hang tags....well, I had a coupon so those cost me $12 for 500 instead of $87. I don't know what I'm going to do when they run out because I love them. But, I can always use business cards and poke holes in them myself. So, not too much of an investment. The time, well, I need to learn to wrap faster. It took me longer than my previous packaging because I was trying to figure out how I wanted to do it. But, not too time consuming.

And, thanks and you're welcome. :D

Beautiful packaging Tiff! I'm wondering, how much trouble would it be to replace the red cord with the purple satin ribbon on the bag? Just thinking. I would love to get my prints wrapped up like this!
