I took these this past weekend. Looks like there's still a couple of weeks to go before peak color at Skyline Drive. About a week to go on the Blue Ridge Parkway...

Very nice images. We haven't been back to the Blue Ridge since the 1970's. We were talking about it last week, and thinking maybe next summer. Now, we will have to consider waiting until next fall.

Image 1 is Sharp Top Mountain at Peaks of Otter. It's worth the trip! :D

Wow. Looks like Abbotts Lake water level is finally back up. Over the last year or two the level has been so low it exposed sand bars never seen before. Last time I was there the water was so low it exposed a large pile of building material debris (wood, brick, etc.) that was apparently dumped in the lake by the construction company when building the motel. (nice guys.).
