I kinda knew that but have seen superb photo's with a filter... Anyways, not very good light as it was cold an overcast.. Will see how it goes when the light is better.. That's where they stay. All I need for protection of the front element is the lens hood. Any kind of contra light is going to affect your image with a filter in place.... in my humble opinion. -Harv-
