"Regular" people usually just care about the subject in the picture, how well it's composed and exposed only adds to how good it is. There's the saturation of the foreground colors; the exposure being spot on; variety with repetition in the school house and the little caboose-looking car to the right, along with the animals; the lines in the mountain create leading lines to the brightest and most in focus subject of the picture.... It goes on.
