I want to see what a 7D looks like with the 70-200 f4 and hood.

Should look about the same as a 5D with that lens. About the same as any camera from the xxD series except for the hump of the viewfinder.

Well, then you can take off the flash... :D
But that's what I used it for, with the 40D, and intend to use the 7D for.
