And this set up used at $200.00 USD

Manfrotto 190XWNB with 128RC Micro Fluid Head

My heaviest set up now is my XT with Tamron 70-300mm or I borrow a friends Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 when ever he is in a good mood

He also has a Bigma but I doubt any combo will hold the Bigma .

I mostly shoot Landscapes , bugs and for Sports hand held or my Mono-pod .

Well I got my Slik PRO330DX-B today and I must say that I am very happy with this purchase , First of all it did not look like what was shown on B&H it had the Padded legs of it's more expensive brothers , now the only reference that I have was the Sunpak 6601 that I had before and I would not leave that unattended with anything on it and with my 70-300mm it would creep as I tried to frame my shot in the view finder .

Ok Back to the NEW GEAR , It's solid as a rock for the gear that I have the head a Slik SH-705E 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head is rated at 9.9lbs and the legs Silk PRO330DX rated at 6.63Lbs , movement is smooth in all directions the height works well for me at 5.11' with the center column down just a small and comfortable bend and I am shooting when I extend it to suit my height it's not fully extended .

My test for creep was to put my 70-300mm at full zoom and focused on a reference point and left it like that for over 2 hours and it hadn't moved , I should field test it this weekend and I will update further .

David

Yes Pics to come :D
