was out practicing with my new 180/f3.5L and MT-24EX combo yesterday. i'm pretty new at macro so comments and critiques are welcome.

btw, what kinda bee is that -- or is it some kind of fly? i'm clueless about insects. thanks!

Hi rentboi, In the UK we call those Hoverflies - definately not a bee - but great pictures.

The Hoverfly shot is simply awesome. If you are new to macro, then this is a great start :-) !

what camera are you using with that fantastic set up? i must say i dont think ive ever seen such a clear shot of a hoverfly
