A fine day in Leicestershire today, so I took my camera to Cropston reservoir to get some shots as it's very near where I work.

I got there around 8am, a little later than ideal as the sun had already risen a fair bit, to find a fellow 'tog already there with his tripod and filters, catching the mist across the water:

Later on, the sun had just about set when I got there at 6pm to catch a beautiful sunset:

Feedback very welcome!

really like that second one- would be good if you could combine mist of the first one with sky on second.

Well, I once read that good travel photography makes places look interesting. That makes your shots already fantastic! You might have better called your post from dawn til dusk, though. ;-)a

I really like both shots, whereby you could've mildly lied with #1 and tweaked the colors a bit to wind back time ever so gently! :-D

With this location and your composition, you're not just leading people into a scene, you even give them a place to rest on that reservoir. That must be pretty darn close to perfection.

Canon 500D, Sigma 18-250mm & no clue how to make the best of either, yet!

A fine example of the 'golden hours' of photography. Well done.
