I had owned one about 5 years ago with no problems but with this 10D, it fires fine without the card but not with a card in it. It also will not allow me to format a card. When I try to format the card, it comes back with either a ERR 02 or ERR 99. Has anyone had this issued resolved without sending back to the factory, but if I have to, I will. Thanks! Do one of the following: Remove and reload the CF card, format the CF card, or use another CF card. Have you tried using a different card? If you have and you're still getting the same error, there may be a problem with the card pins in the camera. In that case, the only remedy would be send the camera in for servicing. ...Leo

joeseph "smells like turd"  More info | Oct 13, 2009 21:47 | #5 I'b be looking very carefully at the CF socket pins, hoping not to see any bent ones... some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:
