I like the idea of the Cotton Carrier and the Spider Holster. I'd buy the Spider right now if it were available. I don't care for the vest of the Cotton Carrier but would buy the single piece to use with a belt but they don't sell it that way.

Is there anything out there that is similar? I'm not happy with any bag that I find so far. I'm thinking a belt with a few lens pouches and a place to mount the camera (other than around my neck/shoulder) would be the way to go. Any ideas?

I had a Lowepro 200 sling bag that was OK until it got stolen. I have a gripped 50d. I just bought a Tamrac 8x tonight and the body w/grip won't fit without a struggle. I really don't want a bigger bag but if that's what I have to do...

Thanks

Have a wheelie nice day!

Their FAQ page and their order page are out of sync re: the purchasing of the side holster separately. I would go with the order page.

Just note that if you put the side holster on a belt (like a Think Tank belt system or Tamrac or LowePro...it rides lower and closer to your waist/hip...thus when you walk there is a bit more bounce when you stride. And the amount of bounce varies with whether you use the outside longish belt loop or you secure it with the double flap velcro closure in the back of the holster. Also varies with whether you use the CC adapter mounted straight onto your camera base or mounted on a battery grip base, or mounted onto a Bogen or Arca-Swiss QR adapter which is then mounted onto your battery grip base or camera base.

When the side holster is mounted on the vest it is higher up on your torso so it rides smoother as you don't "stride" continuously with your rib cage compared to your hip as you walk.

Does anyone have a Cotton Carrier on a Lowepro Street & Field belt? I am curious how that works, if it works. Is it secure? Thanks.
