Seriously what is the point? Its just turning into an ISO/Mpix pi**ing match with frames per second soon to be added to the mess.

ISO 102,400 is not a selling point unless your a cave troll that doesn't get out much;)

I have a 5d classic and try not to go above iso800. I would love a 5D2 so I can squeeze shots in at 1600 or 3200 knowing they will be great but never felt constrained by iso800

Lets just be done with it and all get RED bodies with night vision that shoots with a gazillion Mpix sensor the size of a car windshield at 3000fps and take the stills we like....:D

Constrained by 800? On a 5D?

'try not to go above iso800'

I just got back some prints from my 30d and 1ds. On the 30d taken at 1600 ISO and the 1ds at 1250. Both prints look fantastic. They absolutely kill shots Ive taken on 400 ISO film. That DJ shot would come out clean on a A4 print easy. Thats amazing.

With the way things are heading one day we'll be able to just pick the aperture and f/stop we want and let auto ISO handle the rest. Wish theyd also make more slower options like ISO 25 etc.

Actually that's the way I'd like to see it go now, super duper slow iso for static shots like waterfalls etc.
The possibilities would be endless.

Assuming you meant manual and pick the aperture/shutter speed, the 1D/1Ds III does that pretty well, and you can certainly expect it in the 1D4. Nikon's offerings also have done that for quite a while, and both the Mark IIIs and Nikon offerings do it far better than the gimped way the 40/50D/etc handle it. You can set a base ISO, minimum shutter speed, maximum ISO, maximum shutter speed, or just go full manual, and it'll choose the appropriate ISO to get your metering centered.
