Digging through my harddrive I recently came across this photo. One of my first ever macro photos (about 4 years ago)!! This was the shot that got me addicted to Macro photography.
I read about reversing a 50mm lens, but every reference I got was relating to SLR cameras, and all the camera-shops also said it would not work on a P&S Canon A85. So I duct-taped a $4 second hand (probably 40year old) SLR lens onto the Canon A85 lensmate adapter, and as luck would have it this was my first subject.
To be honest I took probably 50 photos, of which this was the only one in focus. So only a 2% hit-rate (and I was probably lucky to even get one photo looking back at my experience levels then), but I was hooked......
