Adobe bridge does not open CR2 files

Hello

I'm getting into a muddle with Adobe CS2 and Adobe Bridge. I have a Powershot S70 and a 350D. Adobe CS2 will open RAW files from either camera (CRW and CR2). But in Adobe Bridge, I can only open the CRW files; no thumbnail for CR2 files either.

Latest (3.1) version of ACR installed.

Any ideas as to what is wrong?

By the way, the 350D is the nicest camera I have owned since my Olympus OM1.

Hello to me

I've been talking to myself for years. Problem solved.

I had the new version of the ACR plugin in the Adobe files and an old one in "Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CS2/File Formats". I removed the old version and replaced it by the new one. Then in Bridge, I purged the Cache.

Now I see CR2 files in Adobe Bridge

I'm glad you got it figured out. If I had seen this thread earlier, I would have probably asked if you had the latest version of ACR (easy for me to say now )

Now go take some pictures.

This thread just saved me a lot of hassle! Glad these don't get purged after 12 months!

Here we are in 2008 and this post also saved me a lot of hassles! Never purge the posts!!!

The latest raw update sadly only works with CS3, or so I was told. I have CS3 so I don't know.
Upgrade to CS3 and you can use ACR for jpegs.

You do you copy the new file in. I am having this problem. I have CS3 and all my raw files are CR2. I downloaded the newest version, but when I open up the camera file in program it still lists it as 8bi file?

What do I do. I need stop by steop info on this one. I don't want to ruin anything
