Drove up the mountain for a fall color trip the other day, and got to the Brown Mountain Overlook on NC 181 just as the sun cleared the horizon. I would have liked to have gotten there a few minutes sooner, but lots of fog and traffic cost me some time. This is one of only a few shots that I thought came out pretty good. What do you think?

Beautiful shot, I think I seen this on Flickr earlier. I love those sunrises wtih all the fog in the valleys.

Thanks for your comment, but I don't post on Flickr. I'm sure this isn't the only time the valley has looked like this, though, so I'm sure it's someone else's picture. I wish this #%@! rain would go away so I could go out and get some more shots.
