For my 1000th post I give you a couple of my favorite birds from the Southwest. These were taken last month at my choice spot in West Texas to photograph birds. Thanks for looking. :)

I love the perch you have there, and that woodpecker would be worth the drive to Texas. We have those wrens down south in the desert. Very pretty birds! Well done Brad!

Thanks for the comments Steve. It's always a joy to see the woodpeckers. The perch is a piece of an old mesquite tree that had been sitting in the yard forever. It makes for a nice bowl/perch to put on top of the stump.
