They posted some test images to show off the lens. None of them were from handholding the lens.

This is one of those lenses that Sigma made to prove that they could. I can't imagine they will sell more than 20 of them (kinda like thr 1200L)

The "L" is only 100,000 more. :rolleyes:. I'd only have to sell the house to be able to get both of these. :lol:

Eh...actually the AF uses a big beefy motor [It has its own internal power supply that powers the focus motor and the zoom motor]

My guess is that the glass is so heavy a USM wouldnt give the required torque...so it uses a conventional motor..

And OS...was probubly deemed unnecessary because its a 36lb lens...
