How do I ensure that the ice won't turn out gray? I am so confused on this topic. I really want to clear it up before my skii trip this winter =)

Shoot in manual and set up your camera so that it will "overexpose" the ice by a couple of stops. Check your LCD and look for the blinkies to see if you blew out any of the ice. If you're getting blinkies, lower your exposure and check your LCD until your only getting a few or no blinkies. Derek
