This may fall into the "landscape category since there is more mountain than elk, but.....

This one was taken from the side profile. I was able to work my way around the hill the bull was on. Just me, the elk and the mountains at dawn. Fun stuff.

Hey, Mike!

I really like this series. #1 is very similar to an image used on the new 2010 Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation calendar (the "February" image).

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Thx! It's funny, of the people who have seen these, some people like #1 and some people like #3. I tend to prefer #1. To me, getting an elk with mountains and sunrise like that is harder than getting a portrait shot. Plus I feel it just shows a bit more drama even though there is less elk. Since elk tend to live in dramatic environments I think that is a good thing.

Yeah, that last one is money! If the elks were a little lighter or a little darker in the first two, those two would be money also!
