This is a girl from the barn I board my horses at. We were riding in a "fun show". I decided to try some of my first creative PP work and I think I like it! CC is definately appreciated, but remember I'm new!

Dark brown/black horses can be really difficult to capture, and virtually always need some sort of post to bring out the detail in them. When you're shooting, it's inevitable that you either overexpose the background or underexpose the dark horse. If given a choice, I always expose for the horse and then fix the background since the horse is the main subject of the picture.

Thanks for the input from both of you.. I think what you are seeing as underexposed is more me going a little overboard with my PP because I was experimenting with the gradient mask/vignetting effect. Here is the original photo of the first one... just cropped and resized as it was straight out of ther camera.
