Here are some variations of a location I shot yesterday. We tried to go to a lake we remembered from about a year ago which had nice reflections and a small island in the middle, but it turns out the whole thing dried up... Muddy business though :)
These were shot during the last light, about an hour before sunset, and it was cloudy, so light changed every minute.
Next time I'm bringing some planks of wood for my tripod so it won't slowly sink in the mud and I can get some more DoF ;)

All images are clickable to bigger versions. Feel free to comment (either here or on flickr), C&C is always welcome and appreciated.

Nice textures! Seems quite not-dutch to me.

Any pics of the surroundings?

Nice job! I like the first shot, because of its perspective (lower to the ground). I also prefer the higher contrast and saturation.

A whole bunch of them, but none were really spectacular ;)

I'll process some over the weekend and add one to show the surroundings. It's at (or near) the Bankven in Goirle. I guess it dried up over the summer and left all these lovely clay-like tiles.
If the weather is good this weekend I might go back for a few more images of it, because I'm not thrilled with the DoF in most of them.

Thanks, I guess that's a matter of taste, which is why I posted these 3 :)
First one was my favorite too, though the second one looks slightly better on my computer at work...

I like the texture of the first one best.

On a 40 degree, wet and rainy day here in Philly, it is an amuzing contrast!

Canon 40D and more lenses than my wife knows about...
