Tell her she looks intelligent and she picked really nice frames to fit her face. I love that color (I have a similar pair with that color). And no, she doesn't look old and she's definately not ugly!

Yeah, we women know men lie when we ask those classic questions "do I look fat?", etc. Because regardless of what you guys say, it will be wrong. My hubby just ingore the question in whole when I say something like that, he knows he will never survive with a "no honey, I like chubby women" or "I love you however you look". We read between the lines. :D

So when another woman (me in this case) assure another woman she looks good, it's true. Because we're brutal to eachother. If I ask my friend if my butt looks big in a certain pair of pants, she will recommend some diet method or tell me to get a different model of pants.

You cant win in these types of situations with women. I tell her (my wife). I married you because I love you. You look marvelous! If that doesnt stop the need for feedback, I just play dumb and deaf.

I ditto what Petra said on the glasses.

Being a woman who refuses to wear glasses due to vanity, I gotta say those frames on your wife's face are very attractive. I find her new look to be extremely flattering and maybe I'll reconsider frames myself. Twenty years of contact lenses has wreaked havoc on my retinas... so the opthomologist tells me.

how's the saying go...

Men seldom make passes at girls who wear glasses,
Except when the dames have good-looking frames.
