I'm having a problem, and want to know if anyone was able to fix it. I use Paint Shop Pro X2 Ultimate, and have been able to load my RAW files from my 350D with no problems. I borrowed a 5DMkII from a friend, and shot full size RAW. The files have the same file extension, but they won't load. They all actually are cropped about 1/3 (center section) and have a overall pink dominating color. This picture shows what I mean. This was shot as a horizontal shot, but what is here is the only thing I got from each RAW exposure. The JPG shots came out fine. I am wondering if this is a camera issue (ie-file saving problem), or a software problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

Canon uses the same file extension for all its raw formats, but they are not the same. I am not familiar with Paint Shop Pro but I would check and see if they have an update for the Mark 2. You can always use DPP, make sure you get the latest update for it also. There is also the free Adobe DNG converter, that is if Paint shop will recognize the DNG format.

Try DPP.
I don't know Paint Shop Pro X2 Ultimate, but I suppose it's not supporting the newer camera.

If it were Adobe, the default answer would be: "Update ACR or convert to DNG", but I have no idea if that will help in this case.

Thanks. I have a trouble ticket into the Corel folks (Paint Shop Pro). Their compatability site says they support the 5D, but they don't make any reference to the original or the MkII. I just can't believe I am the first person to have discovered this. The camera has been out for a while . . .
