Am I under the misguided notion that a higher percentage of photographers use a MAC over PC? I've always thought that because this is a creative field, MAC would dominate.

What do you think the ratio is?

A good monitor and photoshop is what you need. I cant see how a mac would make a photograph better. I have used both mac and pc.

some just like the styling of the mac.. some, like me, dont care..

The last poll I read split it at just about 50/50.

But as stated above.. I fail to see how a particular brand of tool will help you. Having played on both... a picture with a bad color balance still has a bad color balance no matter what brand it is being shown on. A Mac, or any other brand will not auto fix anything. So the skill needed to be "good" is still in the user, not the tool.

Styling of the Mac??? I don't think so! For me, it was, is, and far as I can see always will be Macintosh. Has nothing to do with stylin', but everything to do with the OS. I have been a Macintosh user since 1985. I got into the Mac when Microsoft's OS was MA-DOS, how I hated that. I have "used" on occassion, when I was working, Windows NT, Windows XP, and Vista. IMHO, none held a candle to the elegance of the Mac OS 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and X. I've used 'em all. Please not reprisals here, but it certainly is not about styling.

I use Apple. I like OS X better than Windows. That's the only reason. They can both accomplish the same tasks when it comes to photo editing.

I fail to see why we need YET another pc vs mac thread. There are like a million of them already.
