Honestly, you need a master's degree in Adobe to do anything. Can I make 13x19 prints with elements 7? Any help would be appreciated.

You can leave the resolution field blank or enter a PPI figure if you want the image re-sampled when it's cropped. Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.

That works too but it's not very convenient as it requires some math to find out how many pixels wide and high you want. Also it does not allow to move the box after or if you do it will resample the pic to the number of pixels you asked. So asking for 13 by 19 will resample the image dramatically to something that is not even thumbnail sized!

That's why I don't use the resolution field, just the 13X19 ratio with the width and height fields, making a 100% crop at that ratio. Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.

When it comes time to print, I change the dimension size to 15" for the longest side and have the program automatically calculate the other side proportionally. ... How do you "change the dimension to 15inch"?

I'm either not understanding something or it's a bug in elements 8. I enter custom aspect ratio, 13 and 19 and leave resolution blank. It gives me a nice box that I can drag a resize while it keeps 13x19 ratio. Then when I click the green checkmark I end up with a 13pixels by 19pixels image.

Then when I click the green checkmark I end up with a 13pixels by 19pixels image. That would happen if the measuring unit for the width and height fields is pixels and not inches or centimeters. I use pixels as the unit when I want to crop (not re-size) an image to 1024 pixels to post here on POTN. Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.

Just like in the above posted example, you have to actually type "in" after the number if you want inches, otherwise it uses pixels by default.
