There is NOTHING wrong with taking anything and everything you own to anywhere you want. If you got it, use it. You don't see many great photographs here taken by themselves from a dark storage closet! Btw love #7.

I am going to shoot highscool baseball/softball and I am debating between the 400mm 2.8 or the 300mm 2.8 with 1.4 tc? any preferences or feedback on this would be much appreciated. I will be using a 1DMarkIII body and most games will be in late afternoon. Thanks for the feedback.

I did buy another 400 :) ... but ya its an old thread

I would use the 400 for baseball/softball. I prefer the extra reach.
