Hey all...
I searched quickly, and didn't find anything that would help me.

Here's my question; Are ads on Facebook, worth it? As in, the ads you pay for, to "promote" your fan page.
I was thinking of maybe doing a budget of $10/day, and pay per click ($0.50/click). I got the ad out, got all the details\target-audience out (according to their page, the ad would reach 15k people (within a 50 mile radius of my main location, etc.)...

Would I see GOOD results from this, besides just getting a few extra fans? Have you done this for? What was the result?

Thanks!

I'd rather spend the dough on google ads or yahoo ads, facebook is still a bit "experimental" if that makes any sense.

one of my fraternity brothers is big on facebook ads. he does a lot of marketing and what not for his business. I bought a ad for our fraternity dance crew competition and told him the specs. Basically he told me that if I want it to really make a difference, I gotta spend more. The higher the big/budget, the more effective the ad will be. In other words, if your budget is only $5.00 a day, don't expect much. Hope that helped somewhat.

Yeah, that makes sense.
Thanks for the help!

I don't use those. I just find a pocket of seniors...friend their friends with a personal message saying who I am, and then invite them. :)

I would not send the ad to a fan page. I would send it to a real website. And have a link back to the fan site somewhere. If you are looking for business, a fan site should be a support item, it is not a "main" one.
