Honeymooning in New Zealand for three weeks. Currently shacked up at a "holiday park" (read NZ for RV camper ground) in Queenstown. Some rough edits of various shots from our boat tour through Milford Sound. More shots of NZ can be found here: http://flickr.com/photos/ronnieallen

Combination of 17-40 f4 with CPL and unfiltered 70-200 2.8.

1. Heading back from the Tasman Sea to Milford Sound.

5. On the way back to port the boat dropped some people off at the underwater observatory.

6. Not the best comp, but gives a sense of scale.

7. The waterfalls are truly amazing, originating from high up in the mountains and cascading in stair steps to the main body of water.

I was there in 1992 (or was it 1993?), and loved Milford Sound. You have some good shots, but some are a little dark.

Well, my knees begin to shake when I get about 10 feet off the ground ... so NO! We did venture up the Skyline Gondola at Queenstown and saw the bungy outfit but nobody was partaking. There were a few adventurous souls who were paragliding though. Cool but crazy!

Quick edits; some could definitely use some highlight/shadow PP. With the sun overhead the dynamic range was difficult to deal with and I opted to protect the highlights since they seem to be the most difficult to recover. My new laptop isn't calibrated so that may be an issue as well. I'll definitely play with them some more when I return to the States.
