My new invention... Ringflash for point n shoot!!

So, I was disgusted with my Point n shoots (Sd850IS) Flash.. it was small and harsh.. SO i decided to fix that. so here is what i came up with... The "Frankenflash"!

Appears a bit smaller and more refined than other frankenrings I've seen, but I can't make out what the disc is likely to be from. Care to share?

Well, since you have the same first name as I do...lol its a "Staples" Paper clip (the small, clamp type..I think they are Binder clips?) Container cut down to size.. its the medium sized one.. It's one of the more elegant frankenrings I've seen, as mentioned, and you've done a great job of it.
I'll maybe have use for this information, should I manage to replace my sold(and missed) S3IS.

Yeah, you can modify it for what ever you use, I will say, the hardest part in diffusing the flash enough so its not too hot where it enters the ring.. I have 3 layers of diffusion there and I still think its a bit hot.. the down side is that it doesnt work well afer about 3 feet.. i suppose on an advanced P&S cam like the G10 with Manual controls, you can drop the shutter a big, go full flash and open the Aperture and raise ISO to compen sate.. It also just hit me to check my settings for flash comp as I might have it turned way down cause the bare flash is so hot.. that plus I was on ISO80..lol Duh.. I guess i am too excited to check those things!
