This is a follow-up to my '7D pictures are warm in Lightroom' thread.

I was playing around last night and noticed that a by changing the WB (white balance) in Lightroom from "As shot" to "Auto" the images get toned down and start looking much more realistic..

Camera set to 'auto wb' / Lightroom "As shot" :

Camera set to 'auto wb' / Lightroom "WB Auto" :

Soo, my question is can all of the pictures from a particular shooting date be set to 'auto' within Lightroom? I looked through the import setting and didn't see it as an option..

After importing, you can select all and then right click in LR > Develop Settngs > choose Auto WB.

You can also apply auto tone to all imported images under LR preferences, but I'm not sure if you can do WB that way.

Yes.
On one image, set WB to "Auto". Then in the develop module, press Alt. The "Reset" button becomes "Set default...". Press that, and set as a new default.

All images will be imported with WB "auto" from then on.

To set WB to auto on already imported images, select the first, set auto, select all, hit "Sync" and sync just the WB.
