I can state without hesitation that as a pilot, I'm as happy or happier than he is.

The biggest difference is that he'll get there faster!

Here are a few I dug out of the files. The first is my buddy in his Pitts, the second is of me flying a Citabria and the last one is not my photo but wanted to share it anyway because it is of a good friend who flies hornets.

Great shots... I particularly liked RFDGuy's Strike Eagle!

Here's a couple from me - first a photo of a Eurofighter Typhoon from Southport airshow this year:

A real pain to shoot with the 5D2's autofocus but an incredible experience to watch! So fast and so loud... check Youtube if you haven't seen these things fly before! I would love to get a flight in one of theses planes... sadly I don't think that will ever happen! The pilot looks happy :)

The above shot is actually a crop from the picture below: my longest lens is 400mm and I think they like to keep the planes at a safe distance from the crowd :)

Second is a privately-owned Hawker Hunter, Miss Demeanour, flown by its owner Jonathon "Flapjack" Whaley. This is him at Duxford this year waving as he flies past with the canopy back.

which is a crop from this - here you can see the full paint job in all its glory!

Nice shots, but that Hawker paint job gives me a headache every time I see it...
