Any recommendations for a portable stool or chair for makeup on location?

I'm now using a makeup artist on location and need a chair or stool for the model to sit in as her makeup is being done. I need something that is portable, lightweight and folds or collapses.

Any recommendations?

Do you want one that has a back rest or just a regular stool? Do a google search on folding camping stool. There are many different folding stools that are light weight and small.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

I'm actually thinking of something like a tall (counter or bar height) directors chair. I think that makes more sense than a stool and it's foldable and highly portable. I'll head over to K-Mart or Target to see what's available.

I've used this for a long time, as a posing stool and as a place to rest my own weary bones.

[edit] Oh, now I see what you wanted it for, having makeup applied...taller is better for that

Hi Wilt. How tall is that stool?

I have a posing stool with a hydraulic adjustment in the studio. I want to get something that I can keep in the trunk.

The stool seat is only 18" off the ground...not high enough for application of makeup for a standing cosmetician

That chair is also very low. I've indicated that the chair must be taller so that a model can sit down and have a makeup artist or stylist standing in front of them while applying makup.

It doesn't really look like something I would ask want a model sitting on. I'm pretty sure that the best thing to try is one of those directors chairs that is counter or bar height.

I'll let everyone know what I end up doing.

plus i don't think a girl can cross her legs proper with that last chair (assuming that was the case).

Not quite, but I see they have a tall version that may be just right and probably more sturdy and durable than a stool height directors chair.
