G11 vs. G10 Weights as Measured

I have just measured weight of G10 and G11 with their batteries in using USPS register scale.

They both showed as 14.1 oz.

That can't be right, the G10 MUST weigh a lot more, it has a lot more megapixels :D.

I don't understand the fascination with weight at this level. I can understand when people make a trade off based on not wanting to carry a 70-200 f/2.8 or a 100-400 (~3 pounds) but an ounce or two can't really matter that much can it?

I think the G11 only weighs like 5 grams more than the G10... imperceivable... It is bulkier though.

Neither will fit in your pocket so weight shouldn't be an issue. ;)
