Tamron 90 mm macro

Does anyone know where the new versions of this lens are made? Some Tamron lenses are made in China, but this does not seem to affect their quality.
Is the 90 mm macro made in Japan? This is one of the lenses I am considering for my next lens purchase.

Mine is made in Japan.. The Tamron 90mm F/2.8 Macro is a great lens..

On a simliar topic my Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 is assembled in China but my Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 is made in Japan.. Both lenses work brilliantly..

Mine is made in Japan too. Looking forward to getting the chance to put it through its paces.

jurgen those look great, i am looking at this lens to enter the relm of macro i am happy with my current super zoom from tamron and this lens seems to offer a lot for not a heck of a lot of money. BTW the 18-270 i own is made in japan

It took this within the first 20 mins of unwrapping mine.

Not quite in the same league as Jurgen's though

The 90mm tamron is a brilliant lens. The only reason why I got the canon instead was that when I was trying it out the extending front element really started to annoy me. IQ wise though I think it's neck and neck with the canon 100mm
