Good price considering the bevy that show up on the buy and sell board where the seller throws in a rubber band and a paper clip and charges $110.

I cancelled my order, ordered 6 days ago and still not shipped, estimated date to be delivered was 11/6....

Dell is horribly backed up on Canon stock. My 70-200mm F/4 took 5 weeks. If it was not for the fact that it was $200 cheaper than everyone else, I would have been extremely cranky!

I just checked on it and it is no longer available.

That's 200 reasons not to be cranky. I don't mind waiting for that kind of discount. I can't find any discounts on the lenses I'm after, just waiting to see if they show up here or at B&H and Adorama's used list.

You are 100% right. However, they listed it as in stock, took my money, charged my CC, and then emailed a back order notice with a new delivery date. They then missed that date by two weeks. However, for the price, I tolerated it!

Dell is known for that, IIRC they pulled that stunt with me on a monitor a few years ago. About the only way I would order anything from Dell is if they had a serious discount like you got. Was that the IS or non-IS version?

Dell mails my company a lot of coupons. we use all Dell Servers and workstations. we even have a few Dell printers. It may be part of an owner retention program?

I am running into the same issue with them on my 50mm. It was supposed to be here on the 9th, then they pushed it back to the 23rd. They still aren't sure when it will come in. The main problem with Dell is they get all their Canon stuff from another vendor.
