I'm pretty new to photography but have enjoyed taking tons of pictures of my son. Here he is sitting in the yard about to rip apart a few more flowers. I'm a sucker for the sepia tone and colorized flowers gimmick. Is that overdone or do you think it works well?

I took this with a PowerShot A70, but have recently upgraded to a Rebel XT. Oh, boy! Suggestions?

(this is my first attempt at a post. I hope it worked okay)

I like it. Cute idea. Can't wait til my grand-daughter can crawl around in the flowers.

This photo was edited with Photoshop CS (not the newer, CS 2).

I recently bought Photoshop CS 2, though. I took this picture with a PowerShot A70, but when I bought my new Rebel XT I got a good discount on Photoshop. I had used Photoshop quite a bit before, but never had my own copy. I found that with the A70, pretty much every picture needed a lot of touching up (at least the indoor portraits did).

I'm not a fan of selective colouring sometimes but IMO the colours work here because they're subtle.
