perhaps working this out in another thread would be better. It seems to be diluting what we are really here to discuss.........just sayin'

Sadly not borne out in real world use though is it....;)

Nope, it's the reason that I shifted from a MkIII and MkII set up with a pile of L glass to a pair of D3. In real life the D3 walks all over the MkIII.

What I've seen of the MkIV though looks very impressive, like it's the camera the MkIII could have been.

sorry, I went to the dark side

No, that's a fair point.

But as usual I'm not the person that brought the D3 into this for no reason at all - that was Tharmsen.

But you're right so I'll cease from this end.

Best fix that signature you got then :)

I'm a Canon user and I have no problem believing that basically any newer Nikon "walks all over" *my* Mark III. On the other hand I also believe there are quite good ones out there, most likely even a majority of Mark IIIs. But this horse has been beaten to it's component atoms, so why don't we just let it go?

If any of the dozen or so local cats that wander through our garden as if they own it manages to catch a wounded blackbird we are helping survive, I'll be cooking a "medley of cats". How long should you cook them for and will shotgun pellets in a stew be a problem?

I asked one of my cats, Miles, and he didn't look too thrilled...

Nicksan....is that a silver shaded persian? They look hilarious when shaven. As soon as my wife brings me my mkIV to the job site, I will be taking Persian photos myself.....

And with that you're back on my ignore list.

Bon Voyage indeed.

Do yourself a favor, and put yourself on that list, too... :D
