No Radiohead you misunderstand.

It doesn't matter if it's pronounced Neeeekon - Nakon - Canon.

IF the Brit pronounces it Nick-on that's that's how it was meant to be.

We didn't build and lose and Empire by listening to other people on how words were supposed to be enunciated.

There must be something up with damaging the cartons.... I have dent in the same spot on mine.

Just got mine from the FedEx guy. No dents in the box.

Off to a meeting with our legal counsel while the battery charges.

Technically Neye-kon is not correct. However, Knee-kon sounds odd, I much prefer Neye-kon.

And now, I'm off to play with my Kan-ohn. Which is much bet-tur than any old stoopid Knee-kon...:D

THen you don't have the latest firmware and fixes installed yet.

p.s.~ by "fixes" I actually meant to say "upgrade".

Strictly speaking I should so unsubscribe from this thread. Every time I look there's something else.
Tham shooting at outrageous ISOs with AF settings a man can only dream of.

Can't wait to get mine and try it at football (or soccer if you prefer).

Here is a pic straight out of camera taken outside my front door handheld. As you can see it is night and I have left EXIF intact. There has been no postprocessing -- just resizing in LR 2.6.

Unthinkable just a few years ago! We live in exciting times my friends.

Aint that the truth... if I remember right my camera of choice thorugh college (a Nikon FM2n) didnlt have auto focus (if it did I never used it) and I shot sports just fine....36 frames at a time.

I still remember pushing Kodak TRi-X film to 1600 ASA in Rodenal developer....and thinking the grain was "manageable" once I went or print in the paper.

Now we squawk about the AF not working well in the dark and 25,600 ISO being a little noisy

Great shot...

...Now, the following is ISO 8000ec, straight from ZB/RIT (with +0.30ec applied), and no processing except a lightning-fast pass of FlexNR:

Now, the interesting thing is that this was supposed to be unthinkable two years ago... :D

Cheers, and enjoy the 1D4,

I went from a 10D to a 1D2 to a 5D2 and boy do I love the FF sensor :p But now I need a 2nd body and I'm thinking of buying a 1D4 but I don't know if I can live with a 1.3x crop sensor again  Plus I love creamy bokeh pix that a FF sensor produces. I could get a 2nd 5D2 but then I would still have a crappy AI Servo :|
The new 1Ds4 will probably be 10k when it comes out :| I can't wait for a 5D2N or 5D3... So what to do
1Ds3 is not an option I need ISO 6400 :D

The One think I am impressed with so far is the IQ, and output of the 1D MK4, it is a lovely finish to the images, and bokeh is creamy, I must admit I am quite surprised how the images are looking
