And now, I'm off to play with my Kan-ohn. Which is much bet-tur than any old stoopid Knee-kon...:D

bw!

...You got me laughing here, BIG time! Made my day, indeed...

In our case, it is pronounced/read as CANNON, or simply "Cañón", which is the language where this word should have originated, instead of Japanese... :D

Cheers,

THen you don't have the latest firmware and fixes installed yet.

p.s.~ by "fixes" I actually meant to say "upgrade".

Battery installed. Version 1.06 already in the camera.

"Those Guys" appear to be the original poster and his two friends on that thread. I would recommend that somebody here with a 500/4 and a 1D4 with 1.06 test it out.

Well if it means anything..... I just did the pictures for my MKIIn which I will list for sale soon.

Not a work of art....but they were shot with an MKIV (at the other end of the spectrum at ISO 50) ;)

That'd be me. I've no problems so far.

Good to hear. Doesn't really worry me too much as it just seems WAAAAY too weird!

Works great with indoor college gymnastics. Taken with the M4 and the legendary 200 1.8L EF lens.

Went to test out the camera after work in NYC.

The links after each pic are to the 10MP version of the resized one.
Ran through my typical workflow with 3 pass Neat Image NR and high pass sharpening.

Comments:
  • ISO12800 is now the "emergency" ISO. Used to be ISO6400 on my MKIII, so I gain 1 stop. As far as compared to the 5DMKII, nothing really pops out at me as far as it being better or worse. No pattern noise or banding on the MKIV at ISO12800. I do noticed the typical color blotches however. Not a big issue.
  • AF Tracking was good. Used default settings. Tested against ice skaters and some yellow cabs. Will have to do more testing though.
  • Low light AF is similar to the MKIII. Infinitely better than the 5DMKII.

one of my pet peeves...people pronouncing things WRONG!!

I take it you mean "incorrectly"? Or maybe "wrongly". Difference between an adverb and an adjective.

Sorry, one of MY pet peeves.
