TeamSpeed have you done the test yet?

I will just be happy if it works as good as the XTi in low light in AI Servo. That is my baseline. If I can put the same lens on both and aim at the same subject, and the XTi locks and the 1D4 doesn't, I won't be particularly happy (again). I figure that it is a fair request that my 1D4 performs at least on par with a 5 year old rebel in locking focus in low light in AI Servo mode. :p

how long does it take for you guys to save up for 1D Mark IV ?

I tried to sell my three legged, blind dog who answers to Lucky with no luck.

I then put my wife up for sale; also no takers.

I'm considering selling my car, but then I won't be able to get to work.

Maybe I should just sell Nicksan, my indentured servant. ;)

Which camera? And what was the problem.

I did some low light testing between the Mk3 and Mk4 and the Mk3 did seem to lock faster, but I don't think I had really good targets though, but I am very impressed with the Mk4's 5000 and 6400 ISO shots I took. They looked pretty clean to me even before I did a light (very light - luminance set to 35) LR3 noise reduction.

I did this test already with my 1D4 (https://photography-on-the.net …p?p=11719858&postcount=57), and my 1D4 is back from Canon tomorrow.

When the 1D4 locked, it was great, and its high ISO is nice as well, very uniform noise, easy to clean, etc. However there are a few situations that I shoot where I want to have confidence in the low light focusing, and with my test above, if the 1D4 now focuses like the XTi does, I am good. If not, I guess I have to deal with the difficiencies by shooting in One Shot, but with kids, that won't yield the best results.

LCD on the 1DMKIV I used to own early 2010 died on me as well after I shot in snow. Thankfully I was able to return it to the store for a full refund.

Gives new meaning to "Built like a tank" doesn't it? ;)

I just have a quick question about selecting this camera. I'm looking for something that is able to take pictures at ~10fps for around 10 minutes. I'm not sure if this is even possible with a DSLR, so maybe a video camera is best. Does anybody have any insight?
