Got to try the 1D at one of our Komets games, where they played the Dayton Gems and won 6-3. I was using the 70-200 2.8L with a Kenko 1.4x shooting in auto-ISO. Most are crops, then resized, and finally USM'd.

4 of the 6 goals:

Took a few shots today at Snetterton circuit using the Mk4 with my 300+2X in very poor light and I just cant fault it. My hit rate was excellent and the quality is very good. Far better results than the Mk3 would have managed in similar light.

My first shot. Well, it's actually number 12. I did take a few test shots first. I hope it's not a bad omen. :D

Jay, I checked the exif data for this image and it shows the distance was 4294967295.00 meters...does this mean you set the distance to infinity for this image? Just curious.

This is ISO4000 100% crop nothing at all done to it - is this amount of noise expected on the 1d MKIV ?

I have no idea why the EXIF would show such a large number...

Looks like color noise was removed. Check your conversion software to see if it has NR by default. Doesn't look bad for an iso4000 crop.

Why worry about 4000iso at 100% crop?
