I spend a lot of time creating images of custom or classic cars but was challenged to see if I could create an image of my wife's Hyundai Elantra that made it look good. Here's the results. I would love to hear your comments on this one. Good bad or average?

Good idea. Wish you'd turned on the parking lights. Clean up the bumper a bit, make the rear tires touch the floor, & you've got something that looks pretty good.

The light on the car looks flat, maybe bump the cars contrast a little.

Thanks for all the feedback guys, I'll take it back to the drawing board with these tips and see what happens. (fast forward)

Ok, I made the following changes based on your tips:

Gork: got rid of the reflections for the most part
Radal: tried it with different colors but the black works best (IMHO)
Photoguy: My time machine isn't working right now so I couldn't go back and turn on the parking lights :) So, I did the next best thing and did it digitally. Killed the reflections in the upper part of the bumper and lightened the lower part to give some dimension. Took the rear of the car off the jack so the tires reach the floor :)
Zelsman: Kicked up the contrast and that really added the finishing touch.

Here is the latest incarnation. I am amazed at how much better it looks than the original that I posted. I must train myself to look for these details. Thank you guys so much for 1) taking the time to post and 2) being honest and not just posting a 'great shot' type post. This is what makes this forum so great.

#2 is much better, but I'd have tried to keep some tone in the hood. Adjustment Layers are one answer:

This kind of shot can really only be done well in a studio. The most blatant thing is the street setting reflections on the bumper. I would like to see a more downward angle rather than the uppward point of view, but, this is subjective.
