Looking for owner / user thoughts on Epson R2880

I'd like to move up to a semi serious quality printer and this is the one I'm thinking of. I've looked at samples from it & they meet my quality wants, but maybe there are other models which are in the same price range that do just as well. I'm well aware that the purchase price is only 1 part of the total cost because ink purchases add up when doing large prints. Anyone who has one and can tell me what they really think will be listened to. Thanks, Larry.

Well, the R2880 is my first and only printer and its great. The inks do cost about £80 for a set and you get around say 17 A3+ images from that. I don't know a lot about the set up of it and im sure im not getting the best from it, but what i am getting is my best ever images so it can't be bad.

If you can afford it, go for it.
