I am looking for a ball head for a Gitzo Traveller Tripod 1550T to use on long distance travel with 5DMK2. This BH-30 seems to be ideal even if it does not fold perfectly with Gitzo Traveller (will fold better than BH-40. I am a bit uncomfortable buying the Markins Q3T and then change the shoe to a RRS LR type and was uncomfortable using the BH-40 which is for heavier duty. What's to be uncomfortable about...it's really pretty simple, considering that you should be able to buy the Q3T with or without the screw clamp (and without Loctite, to boot). It has a 15lb load rating. It will be available Dec. 1st. Sounds like the answer to my question (as expected) is no being it was not addressed, although I am sure it will indeed be a good pairing with the GT1541T as it is not like the Q3T properly folds up anyway. I'll probably pick one up.

It should be about 4.2lb + the two LP-E6 batteries... Gripped 7D - 3 Ls - 3 non-Ls - 580EX II - Too much Think Tank gear - Cotton Carrier Holster
