File Numbering System

My camera seems to have lost its ability to assign folders in its numbering system.

With the camera set "FILE NO. Reset Off ",
the file numbers look as below:

Img_0123.jpg , with the next image numbered sequencially, with no folder number.

They used to look like this:

101-0123_IMG.JPG.
There were three folders 100, 101, and 102, before this problem started.

How did this happen?

Any suggestions?

Thanks , Don Terrana

Since no one has replied to my post I am not sure anyone will bother read my own reply.
But if anyone did and has any interest in this , the problem stems from not realizing that only by first importing the camera image directly into the Zoombrowser database does the file name acquire the
folder prefix, i.e. xxx-xxxx_img.jpg.

If you load the image from the card reader into any other folder in the file system it will have the
IMGxxxx.jpg format.

PS,
While this is a fine forum , there doesn't appear to be nearly as much activity as in the other DP forum.
Perhaps when more people find out about its existance the interest will pickup.
Sincerely,
Don Terrana

Thank for posting. I was interested in knowing what the problem was. Unfortunately, I didn't know the answer to your question. That's why I didn't post. I'm sure others felt the same way.

I really hope this forum doesn't get as busy as the "other" forum. I can't keep up that kind of pace. ;)
