And Random snap #1 could use some flash, snap #2 is overexposed, while snap #3 is somewhat underexposed.;)

agree. OP - you have to stop for a second and think about what you want to shoot. Don't rush and you will become better.

Thanks guys, I've got a ways to learn. I knew these weren't necessarily good pictures. I just needed the critique. Appreciate it a lot. Any other tips you guys have to offer?

Yeah, like think about what you are shooting and how. Dont snap unless its an alien landing and you have to run:)

1) Nice ear.
2) Decent shot. Get rid of the sunglasses and watch the background. It's blown - something I'm working on as well...
3) Ummm... I've got nothing.

I've found the best way to learn is to study what others have done, and try to copy it. Do a quick google on the Rule of Thirds - study it, love it, use it.

I don't know who said it, but you don't drift into greatness. If you want to be good, it takes a lot of hard work, failure, study, and work. Did I mention failure?

Keep shooting, keep practicing, keep posting.
