This picture of my 3 year-old was taken with my Digital Rebel. With natural light coming from nearby windows.

Very nice light. The crop is a bit bothersome. I would have shot portrait or cropped just to the left of her hair in the image. And the hair ribbon has been chopped. She is an absolutely beautiful young lady with a great smile and will no doubt give you plenty of photo practice. All in all a pretty good capture, IMHO.

Your focus is dead on with her perfect eyes. The reddish tones in her hair and those eyes will give you some lovely opportunities. I would try a portrait view rather than landscape (don't be afraid the turn the camera).

Welcome to the forum, lovely photo of a lovely little girl. I would try portrait too and try not to crop any part of the subject. But as stated already it is tack sharp, lovely lighting and colour.
